Providus Bank, in collaboration with the Enterprise Development Centre, is pleased to announce the commencement of applications for the 2024 Providus Bank SME Program tailored for young Nigerian Entrepreneurs.

The Providus Bank SME Program is a flagship initiative aimed at enhancing the capacities of business owners across Nigeria. Through this program, participants will acquire essential skills and competencies necessary for crafting long-term strategic plans, thereby transforming their businesses and driving sustained profitability.

Program Objectives:

The Providus Bank SME Program is structured to help businesses achieve the following objectives:

1. Develop Growth Plans: Equip entrepreneurs with the tools and insights needed to create comprehensive growth plans for their businesses.

2. Enhance Leadership Capacities: Foster the development of leadership skills among participants, empowering them to effectively lead their teams towards organizational success.

3. Define Value Proposition: Assist entrepreneurs in clearly defining the unique value proposition of their businesses, enabling them to differentiate themselves in the market.

4. Ensure Long-term Sustainability: Implement sustainable structures and practices to ensure the longevity and resilience of participating businesses.

5. Craft Go-to-Market Strategies: Develop effective go-to-market strategies for products and services, enabling businesses to penetrate and succeed in their target markets.

6. One-on-One Business Advisory: Provide personalized business advisory sessions to address specific challenges faced by participating companies.

7. Facilitate Peer Learning: Offer opportunities for interaction and collaboration among like-minded entrepreneurs, facilitating the exchange of ideas and best practices.

8. Build Networks: Establish a robust network of contacts for both business and personal development, fostering valuable connections within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Providus Bank SME Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Citizenship or legal residency in Nigeria.

• Business registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria.

• For-profit status, operating in any sector.

• Commitment to the training schedule upon acceptance.

• Minimum operational history of 5 years.

• Annual sales/turnover of at least 25 – 50 million naira.

• Maintenance of financial records.
